M/v Island Fastcraft 1 was travelling from Tubigon, Bohol, carrying 75 passengers on board, going to Cebu when suddenly smokes appear from below the ferry. The captain of the ship ordered the crew and the passengers to abandon the ship when the fire starts. One is still reported missing and three got drowned: a chief mate and two passengers.
Investigation is still going on as to the reason of the fire but is has been suspected to have been caused by electrical problem in the engine room.
